Junior Aircraft Maintenance Technician

The Junior Aircraft Technician is required to assist in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of aircraft systems and components in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and applicable aviation authority regulations, ensuring the safety and airworthiness of the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed aircraft engineers in carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft and related components.
  • Perform basic aircraft maintenance activities under supervision, in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Support pre-flight, post-flight, and routine inspections as directed by the supervising engineer.
  • Ensure proper use, handling, and storage of tools, equipment, and aircraft parts.
  • Comply with company policies, standard operating procedures, and aviation authority regulations at all times.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety awareness, housekeeping, and personal discipline within the hangar and work areas.
  • Report any defects, discrepancies, or safety concerns promptly to the supervising engineer.
  • Participate in required training, safety briefings, and competency development programs.

Requirements

  • Diploma or technical certification in Aircraft Maintenance, Aviation Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic aircraft maintenance training; relevant aviation authority approval or eligibility is an advantage.
  • 1–2 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or a similar technical environment are preferred.
  • Exposure to business aviation or similar aircraft types is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Willingness to learn and work under supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance records and documentation.
