Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is required to ensure the safety, airworthiness, and operational readiness of aircraft in compliance with aviation authority regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for certifying maintenance activities, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved manuals and regulatory requirements.
  • Certify aircraft as airworthy after maintenance under applicable aviation authority license (e.g., GCAA / EASA / FAA).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems including airframe, engines, avionics, and electrical systems.
  • Supervise and guide technicians and mechanics during maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete and maintain accurate technical documentation and logbook entries.
  • Coordinate with operations and planning teams to minimize aircraft downtime.
  • Conduct inspections including pre-flight, transit, daily, and A/B checks.
  • Report defects, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 6/24 months recent hands-on experience on the endorsed aircraft types.
  2. Experience in line and/or base maintenance operations.
  3. Prior experience certifying aircraft release to service under GCAA regulations.
  4. Familiarity with aviation safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  5. Valid UAE GCAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AMEL).
  6. Endorsements in any or combination of the following: B1/B2 – Gulfstream 450 (Rolls-Royce Tay Mk 611-8C), B1/B2 – Gulfstream 550 (Rolls-Royce BR710), B1/B2 – Gulfstream 650 (Rolls-Royce BR700), B1/B2 – Gulfstream 700 (Rolls-Royce BR700), B1/B2 – Bombardier Global 7500 (GE Passport)
  7. EASA license or any other national license eligible for conversion to UAE GCAA (preferred).
  8. Strong knowledge of aircraft systems (airframe, powerplant, avionics, electrical).
  9. Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  10. Excellent troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
