Wheel Shop Supervisor

The Wheel Shop Supervisor is required to lead our Wheel Shop operations within a Part-145 approved maintenance organization. The successful candidate will oversee daily production activities, ensure compliance with aviation regulations (GCAA / EASA), and maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist with day-to-day Wheel Shop operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Part-145 regulations, MOE procedures, and OEM CMM requirements.
  • Manage key wheel shop activities including: a) Wheel disassembly and assembly. b) NDT / Inspection (as applicable). c) Bearing inspection and replacement. d) Torque application and final testing
  • Ensure proper tool control and use of calibrated equipment.
  • Monitor work package documentation and CRS readiness.
  • Maintain full traceability of parts and consumables.
  • Conduct staff training, competency assessments, and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate closely with Quality and Planning departments.
  • Support audits (GCAA / EASA / customer audits).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on aircraft wheel maintenance experience.
  • Experience in supervising Wheel Shop operations within a Part-145 approved organization.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance under GCAA and/or EASA.
  • Exposure to audits and quality management systems.
  • Diploma or Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Part-145 regulations, MOE procedures, and OEM maintenance manuals (CMMs).
  • Leadership or supervisory training (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of wheel, brake, and bearing systems.
  • Ability to interpret OEM CMMs, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
